CORNWALL SOLO GRASS TRACK CLUB
NEWS RELEASE 21st MAY 2006
Cornwall Solo Grass Track Club look forward to the third of seven meetings planned at Truthan Farm, St Erme on Sunday (28th May) with a 39 race program.
With a number of other meetings running across the country just 17 entries have been received for the solo classes. The Experts class is boosted with the entries of John Weeks and Tim Curnock. Competitive racing is expected with the race format used sucessfully at the club previous meeting carried over to ensure that every race counts towards the final results.
In the solo classes local 500cc riders Adrian Rowe and Wayne Barrett will be looking for class honours while club regulars Gavin Horsburgh, Andrew Cocker, Shaun Pascoe and Steve Pearce should all feature strongly.
In the 1000cc Sidecar class 11 outfits will take to the track, with St Dennis's Jamie Bree making a debut in the class joining local drivers Phil Syms, Joseph Sturtridge, Lee Hicks, Andrew Symons, Wayne Westaway & Stephen Palmer joined by Ric McAuley, Tim Warren and Pete Shaw from out of the county in what looks to be a very competative field. Sym's passenger Mark Truscott makes his debut as a driver in the restricted class after the dissapoint of machine difficulties put paid to his debut lst month.
A stong youth entry promises plenty of close racing.
The venue will be signposted from the A30 Carland Cross Roundabout. Admission is £6 for Adults, £3 for Senior Citizens and Children Under 14 Free. Practice starts at 11.30am with racing at 1pm. Refreshments and Toilets will be available on site during the day.
